Demolition

We specialize in extreme demolition, including chimney demolition and industrial demolition. We carry out demolition of high-rise buildings, buildings in densely built-up areas and in confined spaces where a precise approach is essential. We also carry out demolition of large buildings such as industrial sites. For these extreme demolitions, we deploy our 100-tonne Caterpillar 390 F UHD, the largest demolition machine, which allows us to handle even the most challenging demolition jobs efficiently and safely. For chimney demolitions, we use our remote-controlled Brokk demolition machine. After demolition, we provide waste and debris disposal, recycling all materials and managing waste in accordance with current legislation, whether it is hazardous or general waste. All these activities are carried out according to our designed technological procedures and using a wide range of machinery for maximum efficiency and safety.

What are the reasons for carrying out demolitions?

Creating space for new projects:
The energy sector is undergoing a fundamental change, linked to the transformation of the energy concept at European level. There is a gradual shift from 'dirty energy' to the construction of new, sustainable and environmentally friendly sources, known as 'green energy'. This means that industrial sites are beginning to be used for the construction of new, significantly 'clean' energy sources that contribute to environmental protection and emission reduction.

Improving environmental conditions:
Some old buildings may have poor environmental performance, such as poorly insulated structures that unnecessarily increase energy consumption, or may contain materials that are harmful to the environment. Demolishing these buildings can help to create greener and more energy efficient buildings.

Refurbishment or retrofit:
If a building is old, substandard or technologically outdated, demolition can be more cost-effective than repair or refurbishment. Retrofitting may involve building a new building with better energy performance, improved safety and comfort.

Danger and poor condition:
Buildings that are in poor condition and pose a risk to the safety of the occupants or the surrounding area (for example, due to damaged construction or the presence of hazardous substances such as asbestos) may be unfit for continued use. In these cases, demolition is necessary to remove the hazard.

Urban regeneration and planning:
Demolition is often carried out as part of a wider urban regeneration plan. Old and derelict buildings may be demolished to make way for new projects such as new residential or commercial buildings, parks or public spaces.

Do we provide a complete order from the beginning to its final completion?

Yes, we provide our customers with comprehensive services that include everything from the initial design activities to the actual implementation. This includes not only the construction and completion of the project, but also the subsequent delivery of all necessary documents such as technical reports, certificates and operating instructions. Our priority is to ensure the smooth running of the entire job and maximum customer satisfaction until the final handover of the finished work.

What happens to the waste after demolition?

  1. Separation process - already during demolition, the separation of different categories of waste such as concrete, bricks, metal, iron, glass, insulation materials, etc. takes place.
  2. Crushing of recyclable waste - as per the need or requirements of the client, waste like concrete, bricks or others are crushed in a crusher and reused for backfill.
  3. Hazardous Materials Disposal
If the demolition involved materials containing hazardous substances such as asbestos, PCBs (polychlorinated biphenyls), heavy metals or chemicals, these materials must be treated separately.
  4. Waste removal
Once the waste has been sorted, recycled or disposed of, it is taken to the appropriate facilities. This process includes:
Transportation of recyclables to recycling centers or for further processing.
Transportation of hazardous waste to specialized facilities that have the necessary licenses and equipment to safely dispose of hazardous materials.
Transportation of waste to landfills if all materials cannot be recycled.

What machines and technologies are used in demolition?

Excavators and backhoes
We have excavators and backhoes equipped with a wide range of demolition and hydraulic hammers, sorting grabs, scrap metal and demolition shears for concrete and steel. These machines are represented by renowned brands such as Epiroc and La Bounty.

Crawler or wheeled cranes
Crawler cranes are used in demolition to handle heavy materials such as steel structures or large concrete blocks.

Demolition Crushers
Powerful machines designed to crush and process materials such as concrete, asphalt and brick. These machines crush the material into smaller pieces that can then be recycled.

Hand tools

Mobile shredders
They are used at the demolition site and allow immediate processing of waste, simplifying removal and ensuring efficient recycling.

Robotic Machines
Robotic demolition machines, such as our BROKK remote controlled demolition machine, are advanced machines designed to carry out demolition work in difficult to access or hazardous areas and chimney demolition. These robots are usually remotely controlled, ensuring the safety of workers who may be outside the hazardous area.

Cutting Tools
Ex: Plasma Cutters - special tools that use plasma (ionized gas) to cut metal. This method is highly effective for cutting metals of various thicknesses and hardnesses. Plasma cutters have many advantages such as speed, accuracy and the ability to cut materials that would be difficult or impossible to cut with other methods.

Price offer

The quotation is prepared individually based on the specific requirements of the project, the scope of work and the specific conditions of implementation. The price calculation takes into account the type and quantity of material required, the difficulty of the terrain, the equipment used, the distance of transport and the overall time schedule.
